Camp Ramah is thrilled at the communal dollars being made available to help children come to camp this summer. Below is a list of criteria and links for parent as to what financial incentives and other support are available.
Camp Ramah Sponsored Incentives:(If we have received your camper's nomination and your qualifies for the incentive shortly after enrollment your account will be credited. You may not see this on your first invoice, it will appear on your end of month invoice. Please contact our office if your campers incentive does not appear on this second invoice on this second invoice.)
Lowy Conservative Movement Affiliation Incentive: $1000 tuition grant if you meet all three of the following criteria. Please contact your Conservative Rabbi or synagogue educator for a nomination (do not contact Camp Ramah to receive this grant).
- We do not live in the San Diego area.
- None of our children have previously attended a Camp Ramah in California four week session.
- We are a member of a Conservative movement synagogue.
San Diego Area Incentive: $1250 tution grant if you meet all three of the following criteria. Please contact your Conservative Rabbi or synagogue educator for a nomination (do not contact Camp Ramah to receive this grant).
- Our family lives the San Diego Area.
- Our child is attending a four week session at Camp Ramah in California for the first time.
- We are a member of a San Diego Conservative movement synagogue.
San Diego Area Returning Camper Incentive: $750 tuition grant.
- Our family received the San Deigo Area Incentive in 2007 and is/planning to attend camp for 4-weeks. $750 will be automatically applied to our account.
Other Organizations Incentives/Scholarships:(Please Note: An award cannot be applied to a camper's account until the funds are received from these organizations. If you have been notified you are incentive reciient, you may send the tution balance less the award amount along with your award letter.)
Los Angeles Federation Incentive: $1500 tuition grant.Children Entering Grades 3-10 in Fall 2008 eligibility criteria:

Our child/children are applying for/attending a four week session.

None of our children have ever attended a Jewish summer camp experience spanning (3) Saturdays or more.

Special opportunity for children entering Grades 6-8 in Fall 2008: Families who have sent one or more children to camp before but meet the following criteria.

My child/children are entering the 6-8 grades in Fall 2008 and are NOT enrolled in Jewish Day School.

The child applying for this incentive has/have not attended any Jewish summer camp programs before.

Los Angeles Federation Returning Camper Incentive: $500 tuition grant.

If you received a Los Angeles Federation Incentive for summer 2007, then you are eligible to receive a returning camper incentive of $500. To receive this second year incentive, you MUST apply to the LA Federation again AND fill out a survey to receive these monies. Send an email to campgrants@jewishla.org to receive this application and survey. A grant WILL NOT automatically be applied to your camper's account.
- Our family does not live in the Los Angeles area, but between the Pacific and Colorado.
- None of our children have attended a Jewish summer camp spanning three (3) or more Saturdays.
- Our child is entering the 6th-8th grade in fall 2008.
- Our child does not attend a Jewish Day School.
